Controlling a hectic lifestyle …. ‘With the mad, hectic lifestyle that I have, there is no way I could have survived this long if I had not followed my wife’s advice to get Sharon’s advice and guidance! Plus, I think her attitude is so inspiring; I so would recommend her if you think you are not in control of your life. Most valuable advice you could ever get!!’ Raoul (Husband, Employee & Carer)
Managing time better…. ‘Thank you for the session Sharon. I am much more in control. I am making typed notes of all meetings and using them as references which is helpful. I am also using my calendar on the PC which prompts me for meetings, phoning people etc. I have a daily “to do” list and am carrying over items each day. I have also offloaded my accounts - there was a big sigh of relief when I did that! I am very busy but staying focused and positive’. Michelle from: www.Simply-Facilities.co.uk
Getting Focused – Taking control The monthly meetings with Sharon were a great confidence booster. It was quite liberating to be able to talk about career and personal development issues outside the work environment where everyone else has their own vested interests. Sharon let me talk through my issues but had the ability to ask the sort of question that would stop me in my tracks and really get back to basics. The sessions made my realise that I was in a unique position of being able to control my work environment to a large extent; a year on and this realisation has really helped me to enjoy my work more and relieve the frustration I had been experiencing. Paul (Academic Trainer) Creating balance……‘Managing a growing business can be all consuming. I have found my sessions with Sharon to be thought provoking and stimulating. They have helped me gain a clearer perspective on both personal and professional issues creating a better work-life balance than I had previously struggled to control.’ Marilyn (MD) Creating a Life Changing Plan ‘For me, the 7 steps prompted a journey of self-exploration that has taken several months to unfold to the point where I could harness both my logical and my sub-conscious minds into a framework for action. This journey was helped enormously by a coaching session with Sharon, as well as e-mail interaction. It might not have evolved the way I imagined when I started, but 2008 begins with a much clearer sense of what I want to achieve in life and how I might begin that journey. In addition, I have a framework that allows me to check and adjust my position vis-ŕ-vis my vision as life evolves. I highly recommend the 7 steps as a starting point for your own journey of self-exploration, and commend Sharon as a guide to help you on your way.’ Sandra, Oxfordshire
From Corporate Bank to Teaching English as a Foreign Language.....When I first met Sharon, to say I was in a job I didn’t enjoy would be to understate the situation somewhat. I knew I was unhappy, but had no idea what I wanted to do instead. I couldn’t see any way out, other than to jack it all in and just hope something better came along. However, I decided to try something slightly less reckless and have some coaching sessions with Sharon. With Sharon’s help, through questioning, suggested self-analysis techniques and ‘homework’ I was able to find a new path for myself. I developed a range of short and medium term objectives (and strategies for achieving them), which would contribute towards my longer term aim. These encompassed minor details such as curbing my spending habit, to obtaining a promotion at work into a job I loved. However, having gone through this process and clarified the lifestyle and work-life I would like to have, I was prepared and ready to seize the opportunity to take voluntary redundancy from my job and pursue a long-held dream to do Voluntary Service Overseas. This may seem like I’ve come full-circle, but it is far from that - I have been able to take a considered approach to my change in direction, rather than one borne out of desperation. Probably the most important things I gained from the experience - or perhaps regained – are my confidence and belief in myself, which seemed to vanish as I became increasingly unhappy at work. With critical analysis, encouragement and genuine interest, Sharon guided me back to them. Shona (ex-Corporate employee)
